S32205 duplex stainless steel pipe has chromium content (22%), molybdenum (3%) and nitrogen content (0.18%). Under certain temperature, stress tension, oxygen and chloride conditions, the duplex structure of ASME SA790 UNS S32205 pipe helps to improve the resistance of stainless steel to stress corrosion cracking. On the contrary, ordinary austenitic stainless steel 304L, 316L, 317L are susceptible to chloride stress corrosion.
