254 SMO Stainless Steel Pipe is the first austenitic stainless steel specifically designed to use nitrogen to enhance corrosion resistance, with excellent resistance to chloride pitting, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking. With a chromium content of up to 19%, DIN 1.4547 stainless steel forms a passive oxide layer on the surface, preventing decay due to oxidation. S31254 material is an excellent choice for applications in corrosive marine environments. 1.4547 254 SMO Pipe allows the pipe to be cold formed and can be used for testing up to 120°C without re-annealing.
