Types of Inconel Steel Pipe
Inconel 600 Pipes
Inconel 600 pipe is commonly used in chemical processing and nuclear engineering due to its excellent resistance to oxidation and stress-corrosion cracking. It contains 72% nickel, 14-17% chromium, 6-10% iron, and small amounts of other elements such as copper, manganese, silicon, carbon, sulfur, and phosphorus. Inconel 600 pipes are often used in heat exchangers, boilers, valves, pumps, turbines, furnace components, radiant tubes, thermocouple sheaths, electrical resistance heating wires.
Inconel 625 Pipes
Inconel 625 pipe is often used in marine engineering and aerospace applications due to its high strength and resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. It contains 58% nickel, 20-23% chromium, 8-10% molybdenum, 3.5% niobium, and small amounts of other elements such as iron, cobalt, manganese, silicon, carbon, sulfur, and phosphorus. Inconel 625 pipes are often used in seawater desalination plants, offshore oil rigs, submarine pipelines, and aircraft exhaust systems.
Inconel 718 Pipes
Inconel 718 pipe is frequently utilized in gas turbine components and aircraft engines due to its exceptional strength at high temperatures and resistance to fatigue and creep. It contains 50-55% nickel, 17-21% chromium, 4.75-5.5% niobium + tantalum, 2.8-3.3% molybdenum + tungsten, small amounts of other elements such as iron, cobalt, aluminum, titanium, silicon carbon sulfur phosphorus boron copper manganese zirconium. Inconel 718 pipes are often used in compressor blades, turbine discs, combustion chambers, heat exchangers, rocket motors.

Inconel Steel Pipe Processing and Forming
Similarly, different inconel 600 types, specifications and requirements will require different methods for processing and forming steel pipes. Some steel pipes can be processed into steel pipes of the required diameter using seamless pipe machines or other processing equipment, including heating, stretching, spinning and cooling steps; while welded steel pipes use welding technology to roll steel strips into tubes and weld them into shape; they can also be extruded through the extrusion process to extrude the heated steel billet into a tube in a mold without rolling.

Cutting
The rolled inconel 600 material steel pipe is cut into specific sizes according to specific needs. Common cutting methods include band saw cutting, laser cutting and water jet cutting. When cutting, care should be taken to avoid material deformation and overheating.
Bending
In some applications, inconel 600 pipe needs to be bent. Using CNC pipe bending machines through cold bending or hot bending technology, high-precision bending can be achieved into various required shapes to ensure smooth fluid flow in the pipeline.
Expanding or shrinking
Some customers need to increase the diameter of the end of the steel pipe to meet special fluid flow requirements, so a flaring process is required. If the diameter of the end of the steel pipe needs to be reduced or special equipment connection requirements need to be met, a shrinking process is required.
Welding
Depending on the application requirements, material 600 pipe may need to be welded.
Since the material is a high nickel-based alloy, appropriate measures must be taken during the welding process to ensure welding quality and performance to prevent embrittlement and cracking of the welded joints. Steel pipes are usually connected together using techniques such as TIG welding, MIG welding, plasma arc welding or arc welding.
