17-4PH Plate Industry Applications
Aerospace Industry
17-4PH plate is widely used for aircraft engine parts, missile components, satellite structures and landing gear. After H900 aging, yield strength reaches 1380MPa, adapting to high-altitude and outer space harsh environments.
Chemical and Petrochemical Industry
17-4PH plate is suitable for corrosion-resistant containers, pipelines, valves and pumps (especially chloride/acid environments). Used in offshore platform seawater pipelines (20+ year corrosion life) and nuclear waste processing equipment, with radiation resistance.
Medical Device Industry
With good biocompatibility and non-magnetism, 17-4PH plate withstands high-pressure sterilization. Used for surgical instruments, orthopedic implants and medical equipment, resisting body fluid erosion.
Food Processing Industry
Food-grade (Ra ≤ 0.8μm), corrosion-resistant to food additives/cleaners. Used for processing machinery, storage containers and pipelines in dairy, beverage and canned food fields.
Pulp and Paper Industry
Used for digesters, press rolls and slurry pipelines. Reduces maintenance by 60% and improves efficiency by 25% compared with carbon steel, cutting enterprise costs.
Marine Industry
17-4PH plate is ideal for marine equipment due to excellent corrosion resistance to seawater. Used for ship hull components, propeller shafts, marine pumps and offshore platform structural parts, with strong resistance to saltwater erosion and long service life in harsh marine environments.
Nuclear Industry
Complies with nuclear industry safety standards, used for nuclear reactor internal components, control rods and radiation shielding plates. It has excellent radiation resistance and corrosion resistance, ensuring stable operation of nuclear equipment.
Mold Manufacturing Industry
With high hardness and wear resistance, 17-4PH plate is used to make precision molds (injection molds, stamping molds) and mold cores. It can withstand high pressure and frequent wear during mold use, reducing mold maintenance frequency and improving production efficiency.
Renewable Energy Industry
Widely used in wind power (wind turbine hub components, bearing seats) and solar energy (solar panel brackets, heat collector parts). It adapts to outdoor harsh environments, with high strength and corrosion resistance to ensure long-term stable operation of renewable energy equipment.

Why Choose Us?
Adjustable High Strength and Hardness
17-4PH plate's mechanical properties are adjustable via aging temperature (480°C-620°C). At 482°C (900°F), it reaches maximum strength (HRC 44, tensile strength 198 ksi), balancing strength and toughness for various load-bearing scenarios, with longer service life than ordinary stainless steel.
Corrosion Resistance
17-4PH plate resists atmospheric, dilute acid and salt solution corrosion (equivalent to 304 stainless steel). Suitable for medium corrosion and ultra-high strength scenarios, with improved performance via passivation/coating. Avoid use above 300°C (572°F) or freezing environments; control aging temperature above 550°C to prevent chloride stress corrosion cracking.
Processability and Customization
Weldable, machinable and cold-formable (full annealing state), it can be cut by band saw or water jet (no plasma cutting). With small heat treatment deformation, it supports precision machining and polishing, customizable in thickness (3mm-12mm+), size and surface finish.
Cost-Effective and Stable Supply
Compared with titanium alloy, 17-4PH plate offers similar high strength at lower cost, reducing enterprise procurement costs. We have stable supply chain, sufficient inventory, timely delivery and perfect after-sales service.
