317L stainless steel Key Properties:
- Corrosion Resistance: Superior resistance to chloride pitting and crevice corrosion.
- High temperature performance: The maximum service temperature of 317L stainless steel is usually around 870°C (1600°F). At sustained high temperatures (over 427°C or 800°F), carbide precipitation may occur, affecting corrosion resistance.
- Weldability: Suitable for welding without the risk of sensitization.
- Low Carbon Content: Reduces the risk of carbide precipitation in welding applications.
