ASME B16.5 Class 300 Welding Neck (WN) Flange is one of the most widely used industrial standards. It is preferred for high-pressure and extreme-temperature environments due to its long tapered neck, which provides structural reinforcement and superior stress distribution. HT PIPE supply all different types and scales of flanges. Please feel free to contact us for further product information and pricing.
Key Advantages
Reduced Stress Concentration: The tapered hub transfers stress from the flange base to the pipe wall.
High Fatigue Resistance: Ideal for systems with significant pressure fluctuations.
Ease of Inspection: The butt-weld joint allows for seamless Radiographic Testing (RT).
Key Technical Details
Flange Facing
Class 300 flanges typically come with a 2mm (0.06") Raised Face (RF). Please note:
- The total length usually includes this 2mm raised face height.
- If a Ring Type Joint (RTJ) is required, the total thickness and length will increase accordingly.
Hub and Bevel
The Hub: The hub is thicker at the base and tapers toward the top to match the pipe wall thickness.
Welding Bevel: The welding end is beveled according to ASME B16.25 (typically a 37.5° bevel) to facilitate the butt-welding process.
Bolt Holes
The number of bolt holes for Class 300 is always a multiple of 4.
Bolt holes are spaced equally along the Bolt Circle diameter.
