Structure composition ASTM A403 WP304L Stubb End Pipe Fitting
It has two parts the "short pipe section" and the "flanged end". Short pipe sections are used for welding with main pipelines. The length typically ranging from 10-50mm (depending on DN specifications). The flanged end has a circular sealing surface with a thickness of 2-8mm (corresponding to the SCH10S-SCH80S wall thickness).
Common types
Type A (flat end flange): The flange end is flat and suitable for full flat (FF) and raised face (RF) flanges, commonly used in low-pressure pipeline systems (PN ≤ 16).
Type B (groove flanging): The flanging end has a shallow groove, suitable for tenon groove surface (TG) and ring connection surface (RTJ) flanges, and is suitable for medium and high pressure pipelines (PN ≥ 25).

Support of WP304L material for pipe performance
Corrosion resistance adaptability: Low carbon (≤ 0.03%) components prevent intergranular corrosion of pipe fittings after welding, and can withstand weak acid and alkali (pH 4-10), salt water, steam and other media in pipeline systems.
Mechanical adaptability: Tensile strength ≥ 485MPa, yield strength ≥ 170MPa, ensuring that the fittings do not deform or break during pipeline welding or pressure fluctuations, and are suitable for the bearing requirements of DN15-DN600 pipelines.
Temperature adaptability: Within the temperature range of -196 ℃ to 427 ℃, it can be used for various working conditions such as low-temperature LNG pipelines, normal temperature water supply and drainage pipelines, medium temperature steam pipelines, etc.. It don't need to change the material of pipe fittings due to temperature changes.
Special Guide for Tube End Pipe Fitting Selection
Selection based on pipeline system pressure: SCH10S wall thickness fittings are selected for low-pressure pipelines (PN ≤ 10), SCH40S wall thickness fittings are selected for medium pressure pipelines (PN16-25), and customized thickened fittings are required for high-pressure pipelines (PN ≥ 40).
Select by flange type: Type A fittings are selected for FF/RF flanges, and Type B fittings are selected for TG/RTJ flanges to avoid mismatches between fittings and flange sealing surfaces.
Selection based on medium characteristics: WP304L material fittings are preferred for chloride containing ion media, while WP316L material fittings are required for highly corrosive media.
Select according to installation space: For narrow spaces (such as equipment internal pipelines), choose compact pipe fittings with short pipe lengths ≤ 20mm to avoid interference with other components during installation.
