ASTM B622 Hastelloy C2000 Pipe manufacturer, Contact us for free quote and sample!

Hastelloy C2000 (UNS N06200) is the third generation of nickel-based high-temperature alloy in the Hastelloy alloy family. Through unique composition design and process optimization, it achieves dual high-efficiency protection against oxidizing and reducing corrosive media. Its core advantage lies in the combination of high chromium content with the synergistic effect of molybdenum and copper elements, making it a key material in extreme environments such as chemical industry, energy, and marine engineering.

chemical composition of Alloy C2000 pipe

The chemical composition of Hastelloy C2000 is based on nickel (Ni) (about 59%), and adds chromium (Cr, 22-24%), molybdenum (Mo, 15-17%), copper (Cu, 1.3-1.9%), and strictly controls carbon (C≤0.01%), iron (Fe≤3.0%) and other elements.

Advantages of Hastelloy C2000 Pipe

  • Excellent corrosion resistance
  • Good mechanical properties
  • High thermal stability
  • Good weldability
  • Low magnetic permeability
  • Resistance to stress corrosion cracking

Application of C2000 Alloy Seamless Tube

Chemical and petrochemical: used to manufacture pickling equipment, reactors, and heat exchanger pipelines.

Flue gas desulfurization (FGD) system: scrubbers, flues, and circulating pump pipelines.

Marine and oil and gas development: used in submarine pipelines, offshore platforms, and refinery hydrogenation units.

Nuclear energy and environmental protection: used for radioactive waste liquid transportation pipelines in nuclear waste treatment systems, and highly corrosive medium treatment components in wastewater treatment equipment.

Hot working specifications of UNS N06200 pipe

The hot rolling or forging temperature is controlled at 1080-900°C, and the final rolling temperature is not less than 850°C. Solution annealing (1149°C water quenching) is required after processing to restore corrosion resistance.

Cold forming process of Hastelloy N06200 Welded pipe

High work hardening rate requires progressive forming to avoid cracking caused by a single large deformation. It is recommended to eliminate residual stress after forming.

Welding process of Hastelloy C2000 seamless pipe

Tungsten inert gas shielded welding (GTAW) or plasma arc welding (PAW) is preferred, and ERNiCrMo-10 welding wire is recommended; control the interlayer temperature ≤150°C, and ensure that the shielding gas (argon) purity is ≥99.995% to prevent weld oxidation.
