Chemical Composition (mass fraction): Carbon (C) ≤0.30%, Manganese (Mn) 0.29%-1.06%, Silicon (Si) ≥0.10%, Phosphorus (P) ≤0.050%, Sulfur (S) ≤0.058%, Chromium (Cr) ≤0.40%, Molybdenum (Mo) ≤0.15%, Nickel (Ni) ≤0.40%, Copper (Cu) ≤0.40%, Vanadium (V) ≤0.08%.
Mechanical Properties: Tensile strength ≥415MPa, yield strength ≥240MPa, elongation ≥22%, hardness ≤197HB at room temperature. The high strength can withstand pressure shocks in the pipeline system, and the good elongation ensures that the fittings are less likely to crack due to bending deformation during installation.
Temperature Resistance: Long-term operating temperature range is -29℃ to 425℃. Within this temperature range, the material's hardness and toughness do not significantly decrease, making it suitable for medium-temperature fluid transportation.
Long Radius Specifications and Advantages
Low Fluid Resistance: The long-radius structure makes the fluid flow path within the elbow smoother, reducing turbulence and pressure loss during fluid transportation, thus improving the overall pipeline transportation efficiency.
Superior Pressure Resistance: The larger bending radius results in more uniform stress distribution on the elbow, allowing it to withstand higher pipeline pressures. It is suitable for medium and high-pressure pipeline systems, and the working pressure can be adjusted according to the wall thickness grade (Sch10, Sch40, Sch80, Sch160, etc.), and can even meet the requirements of high-pressure applications.
Strong Installation Adaptability: The long-radius design reduces the space constraints of the elbow on the pipeline layout, facilitating later maintenance and repair of the pipeline, while also reducing welding stress and improving the overall stability of the pipeline system.
Butt Welding Process Characteristics
High connection strength: During welding, the elbow and pipe are directly butted together, and the welded joint can be completely fused. The strength can reach more than 90% of the base material strength, with no risk of loosening or leakage, making it suitable for high-pressure, high-temperature, and high-vibration pipeline conditions.
Convenient construction: The elbow port has a pre-set welding bevel, eliminating the need for additional processing. During welding, simply align and fix the elbow with the pipe end, and the welding can be completed using conventional welding processes without special welding equipment, reducing construction difficulty and cost.
Smooth inner wall: Butt welding connections have no protruding joints, and the inner wall of the elbow remains flush with the inner wall of the pipe, preventing media retention and reducing the risk of scaling and corrosion on the inner wall of the pipe, extending the service life of the pipe and fittings.
