Material Inconel 601 Properties
Alloy 601 chemical composition with its remarkable properties. The high nickel content gives the 2.4851 alloy 601 good resistance to corrosion, especially in high-temperature environments. The chromium content provides inconel 601 excellent resistance to oxidation in a variety of conditions. The addition of aluminum and manganese improves oxidation resistance even further. The low carbon content helps prevent the formation of carbides that can lead to intergranular corrosion.

One of the unique properties of Inconel alloy 601 plate is its ability to maintain its strength at high temperatures. This makes it ideal for use in high-temperature environments where other materials may fail. In addition, Inconel 601 is easily fabricable, which makes it a popular choice for many applications.

Alloy 601 UNS N06601 is commonly used in high-temperature applications such as furnace parts, gas turbines, and heat exchangers. Nickel alloy 601 is also used in chemical and petrochemical processing, where it has excellent resistance to oxidizing and reducing acids. Nickel Inconel 601 is also used in power generation, where it is used for steam generators and boiler tubes.
