Uns n06625 pipe bend Comprehensive Corrosion Resistance

Uniform Corrosion Resistance: Resistance to a wide range of corrosive media in both oxidizing and reducing environments, including nitric, phosphoric, sulfuric, hydrochloric, and mixed acids.

Localized Corrosion Resistance: Resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion, and no stress corrosion cracking in chloride media.

Intergranular Corrosion Resistance: The low carbon content and stabilization heat treatment ensure that the alloy remains sensitized even after holding at temperatures between 650-900°C, providing excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion.

Inconel 625 pipe fittings

90 degree 625 pipe bend High- and Low-Temperature Performance

High-Temperature Stability: Stable up to 980°C, it is not susceptible to creep or fracture. Excellent fatigue resistance at high temperatures.

Low-Temperature Toughness: Inconel 625 pipe bend has good mechanical properties and toughness are maintained at low temperatures, even as low as -196°C.

alloy 625 bend Production Process Overview

Material Smelting: Smelting is performed in either a vacuum or non-vacuum induction furnace. Alloys with high aluminum and titanium content require vacuum refining to control element combustion losses and inclusions.

Heat Treatment: Solution treatment is performed at temperatures typically between 980-1030°C, followed by rapid cooling after holding to achieve a uniform solid solution structure and optimal corrosion resistance.

Typical Applications of inconel 625 pipe fittings

  • Chemical and Petrochemical: Acetic, sulfuric, and phosphoric acid plants; cracked gas quenching systems in ethylene plants; and organic synthesis processes containing chlorides.
  • Marine Engineering and Seawater Desalination: Seawater cooling piping systems; preheaters, pumps, and piping in seawater desalination plants; and high-pressure seawater systems on ships.
  • Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD) Systems: Wet areas most susceptible to corrosion, such as the absorber spray layer, demister, and outlet flue.
  • Paper Industry: Equipment and piping in the pulp bleaching process (ClO₂ environment).
  • Pharmaceutical and Food Industries: Demanding process steps requiring extreme cleanliness and corrosion resistance.
  • Environmental Protection: Wastewater treatment, particularly for industrial wastewater containing high levels of chlorides, sulfides, or acidic components.
