Is it normal for stainless steel pipe strips to be magnetic?

Is it normal for stainless steel pipe strips to be magnetic? The answer is normal. Stainless steel can be divided into austenitic, martensitic and ferrite according to the classification of tissue. Our commonly used 201 and 304 materials are austenitic, which is non-magnetic or weakly magnetic, and martensitic and ferrite are obviously magnetic.
However, because 201,304 stainless steel is cold working, after the mold is extruded, the structure will turn to martensite and bend it during the production process, because the deformation of cold bending is relatively large and some magnetism is generated, especially the position of the right angle of the weld, the magnetism will be more obvious.

In addition, 201 has more iron than 304, so 304's part of speech will be weaker than 201's. In general, 201, 304, 316 austenite is non-magnetic or weakly magnetic, 410, 404, 300 martensite and ferrite, which is very obviously magnetic.
