Chemical composition of Hastelloy c276 plate

The chemical composition of N10276 alloy is based on nickel (Ni) (content about 57%-65%), supplemented by molybdenum (Mo, 15.5%-17%), chromium (Cr, 15%-17%) and trace tungsten (W, 3%-4.5%) and iron (Fe, 2.5%-4.5%) and other elements.

 

Physical properties of Hastelloy N10276 Plate

The density of N10276 plate is 8.89~9.24 g/cm³, which is higher than ordinary steel. The melting point ranges from 1323℃~1371℃, showing excellent high temperature tolerance. The thermal conductivity is 9.4~28.1 W/(m·K), and the thermal expansion coefficient is 13.5×10⁻⁶/K, which is suitable for working conditions with frequent temperature changes.

In terms of mechanical properties, its tensile strength can reach 690~1030 MPa, yield strength is 310~690 MPa, elongation exceeds 30%, and Brinell hardness is about 200~300 HB, with both high strength and good plasticity. Even under high temperature (such as above 600℃) or low temperature (as low as -271℃), its mechanical properties can still remain stable, meeting the structural requirements under extreme conditions.

The hot working temperature is usually controlled at 1200℃~1250℃ to reduce the risk of material hardening and cracking, annealing treatment (temperature about 1150℃~1260℃) is required after cold working (such as cold rolling and cold drawing) to restore ductility and eliminate stress.

It is recommended to use inert gas shielded welding (such as TIG, MIG) or submerged arc welding, and avoid oxy-acetylene welding to prevent the performance of the heat-affected zone from deteriorating. After welding, solid solution treatment (1150℃~1260℃) is required to homogenize the structure and improve corrosion resistance.

The corrosion resistance of N10276 plate is the best among similar materials. It shows strong resistance to reducing media (such as sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, phosphoric acid) and oxidizing media (such as nitrates, hypochlorites), especially in high-concentration chloride environments such as wet chlorine gas and ferric chloride/copper solution.
