Stainless Steel Welded Steel Pipes

In the steel manufacturing industry, there are various methods for producing pipes and tubes. Common methods are Electric Fusion Welding (EFW), Electric Resistance Welding (ERW), and Submerged Arc Welding (SAW), etc. These techniques are used to create pipes and tubes for a range of industries such as oil and gas, water supply, construction, and infrastructure.

 

1. Longitudinal Welded Pipes
Longitudinal welded pipes are made by heating the edges of two pieces of steel and then welding them together along their length. This creates a strong and smooth weld that runs the entire length of the pipe. These pipes are commonly used in construction, oil and gas, and transportation industries.

 

2. Spiral Welded Pipes
Spiral welded pipes are made by forming a coil of steel and welding the edges together in a spiral pattern. This creates a pipe with a continuous helical weld that provides high strength, resistance to corrosion, and durability. Spiral welded pipes are commonly used in the oil and gas industries for transporting oil, gas, and water.

 

3. Electric Resistance Welded Pipes(ERW)
Electric resistance welded pipes are made by passing an electric current through the edges of two steel plates or strips, which are then welded together. These pipes are used in a variety of industries, including plumbing, automotive, and construction.

 

4. Electric Fusion Welding (EFW)
Electric Fusion Welding (EFW) is a technique that uses heat generated by an electric arc to melt and fuse the metal sheets that make up the pipe or tube. This process creates a homogeneous joint that is free of defects, making it ideal for high-pressure applications like oil and gas pipelines. EFW has the added benefit of being able to weld both the inside and outside of the pipe or tube simultaneously, which significantly reduces the production time and cost.

 

5. Submerged Arc Welding (SAW)
Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) is a technique that uses a granular flux to shield the weld and create a complete seal that protects the welded joint from environmental factors. SAW is ideal for creating thick-walled pipes that can withstand harsh conditions like extreme temperatures and high pressure. SAW is commonly used in heavy-duty applications like water supply, nuclear power plants, and shipbuilding.

 

6. LSAW (Longitudinal Submerged Arc Welding) Pipe
LSAW pipes are made by bending a steel plate into a U-shape and then welding the edges together using a submerged arc welding process. This type of pipe is commonly used in high-pressure applications such as oil and gas transmission lines. LSAW pipes are known for their high strength and durability. They can withstand high pressures and are resistant to corrosion due to their thick walls.

 

7. SSAW (Spiral Submerged Arc Welding) Pipe
SSAW pipes are made by forming a spiral around a steel coil and welding the edges together using a submerged arc welding process. This type of pipe is commonly used in water and gas supply lines. SSAW pipes have a unique spiral design which makes them stronger and more flexible than other types of welded pipes.

 

8. Furnace Welded Pipes
Furnace welded pipes are made using a welding process that involves heating the steel to extremely high temperatures in a furnace before passing it through a rolling mill. This creates a strong and durable weld that is resistant to both high temperatures and pressure.
