super duplex uns s32760 Core chemical components
The chemical composition of S32760 strictly follows international standards, with the main elements including chromium (24% -26%), nickel (6% -8%), molybdenum (3% -4%), nitrogen (0.2% -0.3%), as well as small amounts of tungsten (1.0% -2.0%), copper (0.5% -1.0%), and low levels of carbon (≤ 0.03%), manganese (≤ 1.0%), and silicon (≤ 1.0%).
duplex 32760 Core structure composition
S32760 blind flange is mainly composed of three parts: flange body, bolt holes, and sealing surface. The flange body is a circular flat plate structure, and the thickness is designed according to the pressure level (the higher the pressure, the greater the thickness).
The bolt holes are evenly distributed along the circumference of the flange, and the number matches the diameter of the corresponding pipeline flange standard.
The sealing surface is the working surface that fits the flange and the pipeline flange. Common forms include protruding surface (RF), concave convex surface (MFM), and tenon groove surface (TG), which achieve sealing effect by cooperating with the sealing gasket.

duplex 2507 forming process
Forging forming: The forging blank is heated to 1100-1200 ℃ and forged into a flange prototype through free forging or die forging processes. The forging ratio is controlled to be ≥ 3 to ensure that the metal structure is dense and eliminate internal defects. After forging, slow cooling treatment is required to prevent cracking.
Casting molding: Using sand casting or precision casting technology, molten S32760 steel is injected into the mold and cooled before molding. During the casting process, it is necessary to control the pouring temperature and cooling rate to reduce defects such as porosity and shrinkage inside the casting.
Machining: The formed blank is turned by a CNC machine to accurately control the outer diameter, thickness, bolt hole position and size, and sealing surface roughness (usually Ra=3.2-6.3 μ m) of the flange, ensuring compatibility with the matching flange.
saf 2507 material Heat treatment process
S32760 blind flange needs to undergo solution heat treatment, with a heating temperature of 1020-1080 ℃ and a holding time adjusted according to the product thickness (1-2 hours), followed by rapid water cooling. This process can achieve uniform distribution of alloy elements, optimize the phase ratio of ferrite to austenite (usually around 50:50), restore the mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of the material, and eliminate processing stress.
Industrial Applications for F55 Super Duplex Flanges
Offshore Oil & Gas: Subsea manifolds, Christmas trees, and sour-service oil pipelines.
Seawater Desalination Plants: High-salinity reject-brine piping systems and multi-stage flash (MSF) evaporation headers.
Chemical Processing: Highly corrosive chemical reactors, aggressive acid storage tanks, and heat exchangers.
Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD): Scrubber units tackling severe sulfuric-acid condensation and abrasive flue slurries.
Strict Testing Protocols for Guaranteed Material Quality
Positive Material Identification (PMI): Non-destructive confirmation of the exact chemical matrix.
Metallographic Evaluation: Destructive verification of a clean 50/50 austenite-ferrite structure, ensuring total freedom from detrimental intermetallic phases (like Sigma phase).
Ultrasonic (UT) & Radiographic (RT) Inspections: Full volumetric analysis to guarantee zero internal voids or casting/forging defects.
Charpy V-Notch Impact Testing: Done at sub-zero temperatures (down to -50°C) to certify excellent low-temperature toughness.
