Check ASTM B444 UNS N06625 CDS Pipe Dimension, Manufacturer of Alloy 625 Exhaust Pipe
"CDS" stands for Cold Drawn Bright Annealed Pipe
ASTM B444 is a standard specification for nickel-chromium-molybdenum-columbium alloys (UNS N06625 and UNS N06852) and nickel-chromium-molybdenum-silicon alloy (UNS N06219) pipe and tube. Grade 1 of ASTM B444 Alloy 625 pipe refers to a specific grade within this specification. The Alloy 625 Seamless Pipe is a high-strength, corrosion-resistant nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy that is widely used in various applications in the aerospace, chemical processing, and oil and gas industries.
Astm B444 Alloy 625 Pipe Grade 1
ASTM B444 Inconel 625 pipe grade 1 is a corrosion and oxidation resistant nickel alloy that is used both for its high strength and outstanding aqueous corrosion resistance. Its outstanding strength and toughness is due to the addition of niobium which acts with the molybdenum to stiffen the alloy's matrix. Alloy 625 has excellent fatigue strength and stress-corrosion cracking resistance to chloride ions. This nickel alloy has excellent weldability and is frequently used to weld AL-6XN. This alloy resists a wide range of severely corrosive environments and is especially resistant to pitting and crevice corrosion.
Grade 1 of ASME SB 444 Alloy 625 pipe specifies the requirements for seamless pipes and tubes made from this alloy, particularly emphasizing their suitability for high-temperature and corrosive environments. These ALLOY 625 pipes are commonly used in industries such as aerospace, chemical processing, marine engineering, and nuclear power generation, where performance under extreme conditions is essential.
ASTM B444 Standard
ASTM 444 Inconel 625 / ASME SB444 Inconel 625 Seamless Tubes Standard Specification for Nickel-Chromium-Molybdenum-Columbium Alloys (UNS N06625 and UNS N06852) and Nickel-Chromium-Molybdenum-Silicon Alloy (UNS N06219) Pipe and Tube
Inconel 625 UNS N06625 products are furnished in two grades of different heat-treated conditions:
- Grade 1 (annealed)-Typically undergoes solution annealing at temperatures around 1,600°F (approximately 871°C). Material is normally employed in service temperatures up to 1100°F (593°C).
- Grade 2 (solution annealed)-Requires solution annealing at higher temperatures, approximately 2,000°F (about 1,093°C). Material is normally employed in service temperatures above 1100°F (593°C) when resistance to creep and rupture is required.
NOTE 1: Hot-working or reannealing may change properties significantly, depending on working history and temperatures.
