DIN 1.4449 AISI 317 Stainless Steel Pipe is a high-grade stainless steel pipe known for its excellent corrosion resistance and high strength. This specific type of stainless steel is part of the austenitic stainless steel family and is commonly referred to by its material number 1.4449 or its American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) designation 317. High resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride environments. Superior to 316L in most chemical environments due to higher molybdenum content. Requires post-weld annealing to ensure maximum corrosion resistance in welded structures.
