254SMO stainless steel tube is made of 20% chromium, 6% molybdenum and 18% nickel. S31254 has extremely high resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. It also has excellent resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking, high thermal conductivity and low thermal expansion coefficient. 6MO EFW pipe is resistant to sulfur. Alloy 254 SMO Heat Treatment

If additional heat treatment is required due to further processing, solution annealing at 1150-1200°C (2100-2190°F) and water quenching are recommended.
