ASTM A928 standard covers electric fusion welded pipes, ASTM A928 UNS S32750 EFW Pipe is a super duplex alloy with excellent corrosion resistance. The high chromium content in the alloy allows it to withstand higher concentrations of chloride solutions. Unlike grades 316 or 304, Super Duplex 2507 electric welded pipes offer better corrosion resistance. Due to their high temperature applications, these pipes are popular in sour wells and the oil and gas industry.

ASTM A928 Standard Covers Five Grades:

The processing of Class 1 and 2 involves double welding, and grade 1 pipes require radiographic testing.
The welding of A928 UNS S32750 EFW pipes Class 3 and 4 uses single welding and is radiographically tested.
Grade 5 requires a duplex weld process with filler metal, and the standard requires spot radiography testing of A928 S32750 Class 5 electrofusion welded pipe.
