Hastelloy X sheet is a nickel-based solid solution strengthened alloy that is resistant to high temperatures and corrosion. Alloy X has a super face-centered cubic (FCC) crystal structure. It has high strength at 1500°F (816°C) and good oxidation resistance at 2200°F (1204°C). The melting point of 2.4665 is about 1,280°C (2,336°F). ASTM B435 UNS N06002 is particularly resistant to carburization and nitriding. Alloy X is non-magnetic. AMS 5536 Hastelloy X is suitable for high temperature applications such as aerospace and petrochemical.
