Characteristics and Applications of Alloy 800 Pipe
- Corrosion Resistance: ASME SB 407 UNS N08800 It can resist strong acidic media such as sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid and phosphoric acid, and is suitable for chemical, oil and gas industries.
- High Temperature Stability: Withstands high temperature operation of high temperature furnaces, heaters, heat exchangers and other equipment.
- Antioxidation Performance: The chromium element in the material gives Alloy 800 anti-oxidation properties.
Alloy 800 Pipe Fabrication Process
- Hot Working: INCOLOY 800 pipe can be heat worked in the temperature range of 871-1232°C (1600-2250°F).
- Cold Working: Alloy 800 can be cold-worked using standard tools.
- Annealing: Nickel 800 pipes can be annealed after cold working. Annealing should be done at 982°C (1800°F) for 15 minutes, after which the alloy is air-cooled.
