Alloy 800 pipe is an alloy of nickel, iron and chromium, with additions of molybdenum, copper, nitrogen and silicon, etc. Properties of UNS N08800 include corrosion resistance, good strength and high resistance to oxidation, reduction and aqueous environments. Characteristics and Applications of Alloy 800 Pipe

  • Corrosion Resistance: ASME SB 407 UNS N08800 It can resist strong acidic media such as sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid and phosphoric acid, and is suitable for chemical, oil and gas industries.
  • High Temperature Stability: Withstands high temperature operation of high temperature furnaces, heaters, heat exchangers and other equipment.
  • Antioxidation Performance: The chromium element in the material gives Alloy 800 anti-oxidation properties.

 

Alloy 800 Pipe Fabrication Process

  • Hot Working: INCOLOY 800 pipe can be heat worked in the temperature range of 871-1232°C (1600-2250°F).
  • Cold Working: Alloy 800 can be cold-worked using standard tools.
  • Annealing: Nickel 800 pipes can be annealed after cold working. Annealing should be done at 982°C (1800°F) for 15 minutes, after which the alloy is air-cooled.
