Product Introduction

Alloy 800H pipe, offer excellent performance in high temperature environments, with low carbon content to resist oxidation and creep. Incoloy 800h seamless pipes are cold drawn, so properties such as toughness and hardness tend to be much superior. Inconel 800h welded pipes are better suited for larger diameter pipes and are less expensive. Incoloy 800h pipes are produced to ASTM B407 specifications and are available in either cold or hot worked forms. Contact us for more information and a free quote!

Alloy 800H vs. Alloy 800HT

  • Service Temperature Range: Alloy 800H has a lower carbon content for medium temperature ranges, performing well in the range of about 600-900°C. Alloy 800HT has a higher carbon content for higher temperature ranges up to about 700-1000°C.
  • Creep Properties: Alloy 800h seamless pipe has less creep resistance than Incoloy 800HT at high temperatures and high stresses.

ASTM B407 UNS N08810 Tube Applications

  • Valves, fittings, and other components exposed to corrosion at 1100-1800° F
  • Industrial furnaces
  • Heat treating equipment
  • Chemical and petrochemical processing
  • Superheaters and reheaters in power plants
  • Pressure vessels
  • Heat exchangers

ASME SB 407 UNS N08810 Hot Working

Hot working temperature range for Incoloy alloy 800H is 1740–2190° F if the deformation is 5% or greater. The hot working temperature range is 1560–1920° F if the degree of hot deformation is less than 5%. 800H is water quenched or rapidly air cooled in the temperature range of 1000–1400° F. Solution annealing is performed after hot working to ensure optimum creep resistance and performance.
