Incoloy 800H Seamless Pipe

Incoloy 800H Seamless Pipe is the workhorse grade of the 800 series for high-temperature petrochemical service. It combines controlled carbon content (0.05–0.10%) with ASTM 5 or coarser grain size to deliver creep rupture strength that standard Incoloy 800 cannot match above 600°C. Standard lengths: Random lengths 4–7 meters, or cut to your specified length. Custom lengths up to 12 meters available for project requirements.

 

Special sizes: Outside the standard range above, we can arrange production for OD 6mm to 610mm with wall thickness from 1.0mm to 50mm. Minimum order quantities apply for non-stock sizes - contact us with your specific dimensional requirements.

Manufacturing process: Hot extrusion followed by cold drawing for smaller sizes. All pipe is solution annealed at 1150–1205°C (2100–2200°F) with rapid cooling to ensure the coarse grain structure (ASTM 5 or coarser) required by ASTM B407 for 800H.

The controlled carbon range (0.05–0.10%) is the defining characteristic of 800H versus standard 800. This range ensures sufficient carbon for carbide precipitation strengthening at grain boundaries without excessive carbide network formation that could embrittle the material.

Straightness: Maximum deviation 3.0 mm per meter of length. Length tolerance: Cut lengths ± 6.0 mm for standard orders, ± 3.0 mm for precision-cut project lengths.

 

U-Bend Capability

For heat exchanger and furnace coil applications, we supply U-bends from straight pipe:

U-bends are formed from annealed straight pipe and can be supplied with post-bend solution annealing to restore uniform mechanical properties in the bend zone.

Incoloy 800H pipe is specified for service where standard stainless steels (304, 316L) cannot provide adequate creep strength:

Steam cracker radiant coils (ethylene furnaces, 900–1050°C)

Catalytic reforming tubes (refinery platforms, 540–650°C sustained)
