AISI 316 H stainless steel is an austenitic steel and is a high carbon version of 316 stainless steel. 316H SS is known for its excellent corrosion resistance in chloride marine environments with a PRE (pitting resistance equivalent) of 24. 1.4919 stainless steel also performs well in phosphoric and acetic acids with good pitting resistance. UNS S31609 is ideal for industrial boilers, heat exchangers and high temperature pressure vessels up to 500°C.
