Why choose ASTM B409 Incoloy 800 Plate?
- High temperature performance: Maintain high strength and oxidation resistance in the range of 540~870°C (due to the Cr₂O₃ protective film).
- Carburization resistance: 1.4876 Nickel Alloy 800 Plate is not easy to become embrittled in carbon-containing atmosphere, which is better than ordinary stainless steel (such as 304H).
- Corrosion resistance: ASTM B409 UNS N08800 Plate has good resistance to sulfuric acid, nitric acid, alkaline media and chloride stress corrosion (SCC).
Incoloy 800 UNS N08800 alternative material
- Incoloy 800H (N08810): Higher carbon content, stronger creep rupture resistance, suitable for higher temperatures.
- Inconel 600 (N06600): Higher nickel content (≥72%), stronger resistance to chloride ion corrosion, but higher cost.
- 316L stainless steel: Lower cost, high temperature strength and carburization resistance are weaker than Incoloy 800.
