ASME SA 240 S32205 Plate is a duplex stainless steel with almost equal proportions of austenite and ferrite. Duplex steel S32205 plate has better local corrosion resistance than stainless steel 316L and stainless steel 317L. Duplex SS 2205 Sheet resists sulfide chloride and stress corrosion environments.

ASME SA 240 S32205 Plate Manufacturing
The forging temperature of ASME SA 240 UNS S32205 Plate should be 1100 degrees Celsius - 1250 degrees Celsius, heated as required at this temperature and then cooled in still air.
The main difference between cold rolled and hot rolled material is that SA 240 S32205 hot rolled plate is processed at high temperature, has high toughness and is not easily reshaped at room temperature; but A240 UNS S32205 cold rolled plate can be reshaped and cold rolled plate can be strengthened by cold working reshaping.
