Hastelloy Alloy X (UNS N06002 / W.Nr. 2.4665) provides excellent oxidation resistance up to 1200°C (2200°F) for use in extremely hot environments. The molybdenum content enhances resistance to localized corrosion, while the chromium and nickel components provide excellent high temperature oxidation resistance.

Fabrication and Welding
Hastelloy X can be easily fabricated by conventional methods. UNS N06002 material can be cold worked and hot formed in the temperature range of 1175–1250°C (2150–2280°F). Alloy X can also be welded using standard welding processes such as TIG, MIG, and resistance welding without the need for post-weld heat treatment.
