Seamless pipe production process

Raw material preparation: Incoloy 800 alloy round billets (diameter 50mm-300mm) are used, and internal defects are eliminated through non-destructive testing.

Hot perforation: The round billet is heated to 1100 ℃ -1200 ℃ and rolled into a hollow tube through a perforating machine, with a wall thickness deviation controlled within ± 0.5mm.

Cold rolling/cold drawing: The tube is processed by a cold rolling machine (or cold drawing machine) to the target diameter, with a deformation of ≤ 30% per pass to avoid cracking.

Heat treatment: Cold rolling followed by solution treatment (temperature 980 ℃ -1050 ℃, insulation for 1-2 hours, water cooling) to eliminate processing stress.

Finishing: Cutting, straightening (straightness ≤ 1mm/m), polishing of inner and outer surfaces (roughness Ra ≤ 6.3 μ m), final flaw detection (ultrasonic testing+eddy current testing).

Production process of welded pipes

Raw material rolling: Incoloy 800 alloy coils (thickness 1.2mm-12mm) are cut into fixed width steel strips by a longitudinal cutting machine.

Forming: The steel strip is rolled into a tube shape by a continuous forming machine, and high-frequency induction welding (welding temperature 1300 ℃ -1400 ℃) is used. The weld bead needs to undergo online solution treatment.

Flaw detection and repair: After welding, the quality of the weld bead is inspected by X-ray, and the weld bead is removed (the height of the weld bead after grinding is ≤ 1.5mm). Finally, a water pressure test is conducted (pressure ≥ 2.5MPa).

Incoloy 800 Pipe Environmental Protection and Sustainability

Environmental friendliness of production

Energy consumption: The production of seamless pipes consumes about 800-1000kWh per ton, which is lower than that of Hastelloy alloy (1200-1500kWh/ton), due to the lower smelting temperature of Incoloy 800 alloy (1500 ℃ vs 1600 ℃).

Pollutant emissions: Legitimate manufacturers adopt an "acid washing waste liquid recovery system", with a nitric acid recovery rate of ≥ 90% and a hydrofluoric acid recovery rate of ≥ 85%, in compliance with GB 21900-2008 "Emission Standards for Electroplating Pollutants".

Recycling and Reuse

Recycling process: After dismantling, degreasing, and cutting, the waste Incoloy 800 pipeline can be remelted into alloy round billets (recovery rate ≥ 95%), and a small amount of nickel and chromium can be added to adjust the composition for reuse.

Economic value: The market price of recycled alloys is about 60% -70% of that of new materials (as of December 2025), reducing replacement costs for enterprises and minimizing resource waste.

Environmental certification

It can pass the EU CE certification (compliant with EN 10204 3.1 material certification requirements) and the US EPA environmental certification (for surface treatment pollutant emissions), and is suitable for projects exported to the EU and the United States.
