Incoloy 825 is a titanium-stabilized nickel-iron-chromium alloy with copper and molybdenum additions. The "Incoloy" series designation generally indicates a nickel content of less than 50%, but the alloy still primarily consists of iron and nickel.

Why choose alloy n08825 pipe?
General and localized corrosion resistance: Resists corrosion from sulfuric, phosphoric, and nitric acids, as well as a variety of organic and inorganic acids. It is particularly adept at handling complex media containing both oxidizing and reducing ions.
Resistance to stress corrosion cracking (SCC): In high-concentration chloride solutions and high-temperature environments, its SCC resistance is orders of magnitude higher than that of 304/316 stainless steel.
Mechanical properties: Maintains high strength and good toughness at both high and low temperatures.
Machinability and weldability: It can be fabricated and formed using conventional machining methods and is easily welded using processes such as Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) and Metal Inert Gas (MIG).
Manufacturing Process of alloy 825
- Melting and Casting: Vacuum induction melting (VIM) or electric arc furnace (EAF) with argon oxygen decarburization (AOD) secondary refining ensures highly uniform and pure chemical composition, while strictly controlling impurity elements (such as S and P).
- Hot Working: The ingot is heated and then extruded or pierced to form a tube billet.
- Cold Working and Annealing: The tube billet is thinned to the target size through cold rolling or cold drawing. During this process, multiple intermediate annealing treatments (solution annealing) are required to eliminate work hardening and restore the material's ductility and corrosion resistance.
- Finishing and Testing: This includes sizing, straightening, pickling (to remove oxide scale), and polishing. Each tube undergoes rigorous non-destructive testing, such as eddy current testing (ET), ultrasonic testing (UT), hydrostatic testing, and airtightness testing, to ensure it is defect-free and meets dimensional tolerances.

Common Specifications of uns n08825 tubing
Seamless Pipe: Manufactured by extrusion or perforation, it features no welds, excellent uniformity, and high pressure-bearing capacity, making it the preferred choice for high-pressure and high-risk applications.
Welded Pipe: Manufactured from rolled and welded sheet metal, it offers lower costs and is suitable for medium- and low-pressure applications.
astm incoloy 825 pipe Benefits Summary
Extended Equipment Life: Its excellent corrosion resistance can extend the service life of piping systems several times, reducing unplanned downtime due to corrosion failure.
Reduced Maintenance Costs: Reduces the need for frequent component replacement and unplanned repairs, significantly reducing lifecycle maintenance costs.
Enhanced Safety: When handling toxic, flammable, or explosive media, pipeline integrity is the first line of defense. Incoloy 825 provides the highest safety margin.
Improved Process Efficiency: It allows operation at higher temperatures, higher pressures, and more harsh chemical environments, potentially optimizing process flows and increasing production efficiency.
