Chemical composition of N06022 Plate
The chemical composition of Hastelloy C22 alloy is based on nickel (Ni) (about 56%), with 22% chromium (Cr), 13% molybdenum (Mo), 3% tungsten (W) and less than 0.015% low carbon (C) design.

Manufacturing and processing
Hot forming of Hastelloy N06022 Plate
The hot working temperature is recommended to be controlled at 950-1180℃, avoiding staying in the range of 650-870℃ to prevent σ phase or μ phase precipitation and embrittlement. After hot bending or hot stamping, rapid water cooling or air cooling is required for solid solution treatment.
Cold forming of Alloy C22 plate
High work hardening rate requires step-by-step forming and timely annealing. When the cold deformation exceeds 15%, 1120℃ solid solution annealing is required to restore plasticity.
Welding process of C22 Alloy Plate
TIG (tungsten inert gas welding) or laser welding is recommended, using ERNiCrMo-10 welding wire (such as Haynes Weldmetic 22). Before welding, the groove oil and oxides must be thoroughly cleaned, and the interlayer temperature must be controlled below 150°C. No heat treatment is required after welding, but pickling is required to remove the oxidation color.
Cutting and machining of Hastelloy N06022 sheet
Plasma cutting or water jet cutting is better than mechanical shearing. Carbide tools should be used for turning and milling, and low speed and high feed should be used to reduce work hardening.

Chemical and petrochemical industries: used to manufacture strong acid reactors (such as sulfuric acid concentration devices), wet phosphoric acid production equipment, chlor-alkali industrial electrolyzers and mixed acid storage containers.
Flue gas desulfurization system (FGD): as absorption tower lining, spray pipes and flue plates.
Pharmaceuticals and hydrometallurgy: organic synthesis reactors containing chlorides and bromides and precious metal leaching equipment.
Nuclear energy and waste incineration: high-radioactive corrosion protection of nuclear waste treatment containers, and corrosion-resistant structural parts of high-temperature acidic gases in incinerators.
