Super duplex 2507 plate cold rolled process:
1. Material preparation: The raw materials are made of high-quality super duplex 2507 stainless steel.
2. Hot rolling: The selected material is heated and then passed through a series of rolling mills to reduce its thickness to the desired level. The process involves compressing the material between rotating rollers, resulting in elongation and a reduction in thickness.
3. Descaling: The hot-rolled super duplex 2507 plate undergoes a descaling process to remove scale or impurities on the surface. Various methods such as pickling, shot blasting or pickling can be used for rust removal, depending on specific requirements.
4. Cold rolling: cold rolling the plate after descaling to further reduce the thickness and improve the surface finish. Cold rolling involves passing the sheet through a set of rolls at room temperature and applying pressure to achieve the desired thickness. This process increases the hardness and strength of the super duplex 2507 sheet while improving dimensional accuracy and surface smoothness.
5. Annealing: Super duplex SS 2507 plate is often annealed after cold rolling to eliminate internal stress and improve mechanical properties. Annealing is a heat treatment process that involves heating a plate to a specific temperature followed by gradual cooling. The process helps enhance the material's toughness, ductility, and corrosion resistance.
6. Leveling and cutting: After the annealing process, the super duplex 2507 plate may be leveled to obtain a flat and uniform surface. They are then cut to the desired size according to customer requirements.
7. Inspection and Packing: The quality, size, and surface finish of the final boards are thoroughly inspected. They are then properly packaged to protect them during handling, shipping, and storage.
