Alloy 253MA Stainless Steel Chemical Composition:
- Chromium (Cr): 20–22%
- Nickel (Ni): 10–12%
- Nitrogen (N): 0.14–0.20%
- Silicon (Si): 1.40–2.00%
- Manganese (Mn): 0.8% max
- Carbon (C): 0.05–0.10%
- Phosphorus (P): 0.04% max
- Sulfur (S): 0.03% max
- Rare Earth Elements (REE), including Cerium (Ce)

- Chromium: The high chromium content in 253MA provides oxidation resistance at high temperatures.
- Nitrogen (N): The presence of nitrogen improves the alloy's high temperature strength.
