Corrosion Resistance
Inconel 625: Excels in chloride environments (pitting/crevice corrosion), oxidizing acids (e.g., nitric acid), and high-temperature oxidation. High molybdenum content aids in reducing environments.
Incoloy 825: Optimized for sulfuric, phosphoric, and other reducing acids due to copper. Resists stress corrosion cracking in aggressive chemical environments.
Applications
Inconel 625: Aerospace, marine, nuclear, and chemical processing (e.g., seawater components, heat exchangers).
Incoloy 825: Chemical and petrochemical industries (e.g., sulfuric acid production, pickling equipment).

Mechanical Properties
Inconel 625: Superior high-temperature strength (up to ~1000°C) and creep resistance.
Incoloy 825: Lower high-temperature capability but better performance in specific corrosive media at moderate temperatures.
Welding and Fabrication
Both alloys are weldable. Incoloy 825's titanium content reduces carbide precipitation during welding, enhancing resistance to intergranular corrosion.
