Composition and characteristics of Alloy 201 materials
The main chemical composition of Alloy201 includes about 32%-38% nickel, 19.0%-21.0% chromium, 2.0%-3.0% copper, 2.0%-3.0% molybdenum, and a small amount of niobium, cobalt and other elements, and the rest is iron.
Physical properties of UNS N02201
Its density is about 8.0g/cm³, the melting point ranges from 1350-1400℃, and the thermal conductivity is low, about 15W/(m・K).
Mechanical properties Alloy N02201
At room temperature, Alloy201 has good strength and plasticity. Its tensile strength is ≥550MPa, yield strength is ≥240MPa, and elongation is ≥30%.
Corrosion resistance Nickel alloy 201
It has good corrosion resistance to various inorganic acids such as sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, and hydrochloric acid. It exhibits excellent corrosion resistance in sulfuric acid with high concentration, especially when the temperature is not too high. For some media containing chlorides, the material also has good resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. In neutral and weakly alkaline environments, Nickel alloy 201 can also remain stable and is not prone to corrosion.
