2507 is a super duplex stainless steel, a stainless steel alloy containing high levels of chromium, molybdenum, and nickel. 2507 material equivalent is UNS S32750 which refers to the same material but with a different name. It is also commonly known as 1.4410, F53, or X2CrNiMoN25-7-4. Duplex stainless steel 2507 is a material suitable for harsh environments such as the oil and gas industry, chemical processing, and marine applications. Its high corrosion resistance, strength, and durability make it ideal for a variety of applications.
Corrosion resistance: UNS S32750 super duplex exhibits excellent resistance to pitting, crevice, and general corrosion in chloride-containing environments and is suitable for marine, oil and gas, and chemical processing applications.
Strength and toughness: 1.4410 stainless steel has high strength and excellent toughness, allowing it to withstand heavy loads and impacts without deformation or fracture.
Stress Corrosion Cracking Resistance: Duplex F53 exhibits excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking (SCC), making it suitable for applications where this form of corrosion is a concern.
