Why choose Inconel 718 pipe?
Alloy 718 Pipe high temperature strength
- Age hardening: Through precise heat treatment (solid solution + aging), dispersed γ' (Ni₃(Al, Ti)) and γ'' (Ni₃Nb) strengthening phases are precipitated in the alloy, giving it amazing strength.
- High temperature resistance: At high temperatures of 650°C (1200°F), it can still maintain strength and creep resistance far exceeding ordinary stainless steel and most high-temperature alloys, making it an ideal choice for jet engines and gas turbines.
- low-temperature toughness: It still maintains good toughness in deep cold environments (such as liquid hydrogen/liquid oxygen systems) without brittle transition.

inco 718 pipe anti-corrosion armor
- Comprehensive protection: High chromium content forms a dense chromium oxide (Cr₂O₃) passivation film, which effectively resists corrosion from the atmosphere, fresh water, sea water, neutral and alkaline salt solutions.
- Acidic environment: It has good resistance to medium concentrations of non-oxidizing acids (such as sulfuric acid and phosphoric acid) and strong oxidizing acids (such as nitric acid).
- Corrosion and crack resistance: Excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking (SCC), especially in chloride and caustic environments, is a guarantee for chemical and marine applications.
- Resistance to oxidation and carburization: It has excellent resistance to oxidation and carburization in high temperature air and carburizing atmosphere.
inconel 2.4668 processing and welding performance
- Relatively friendly formability: It has good plasticity in the solid solution state and can be cold/hot processed (strictly controlled parameters are required).
- Weldability: Compared with other precipitation hardening high temperature alloys, 718 has excellent welding performance. Common methods include GTAW (TIG), GMAW (MIG), EBW, laser welding, etc. Appropriate heat treatment is required after welding to restore performance.
