SS 254SMO Stainless Steel Plate, known for its excellent corrosion resistance and high strength, has been delivered to a major industrial customer in Brazil. Alloy 254 SMO is a low carbon content, high-end molybdenum and nitrogen alloyed super stainless steel. It exhibits excellent resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion stress cracking. It is often used in high chloride environments such as brackish water, seawater, oil and gas and other chloride process streams. Lower cost than nickel alloys.
