Corrosion resistance of Alloy 20 pipe
- Resistant to sulfuric acid (medium and low concentrations), phosphoric acid, nitric acid and mixed acids.
- Resistant to chloride stress corrosion cracking .
- Performs well in both oxidizing and reducing media.

Applications of N08020 Pipe
Chemical industry: reactors, storage tanks, piping systems.
Pharmaceutical and food processing: acid-resistant equipment, heat exchangers.

Others: pickling equipment, flue gas desulfurization (FGD) systems.
Comparison with other materials
316 stainless steel: Alloy 20 is more corrosion resistant in higher concentration sulfuric acid and chloride environments, but the cost is higher.
Hastelloy: The corrosion resistance is slightly inferior to Hastelloy C series, but the cost performance is better.
904L: Similar corrosion resistance, but Alloy 20 is more resistant to sulfuric acid.
