UNS S32109, also known as Alloy 321H, is a high-carbon version of the 321 stainless steel. It is specifically designed to enhance high-temperature performance. UNS S32109 maintains excellent mechanical properties at temperatures up to 800°C (1472°F), making it ideal for high-temperature applications. The addition of titanium improves resistance to intergranular corrosion, a common issue in welding operations. The increased carbon content in material 1.4878 allows it to maintain its strength and structural integrity under the extreme conditions often encountered in the oil and gas sector.
