S32750 Plate 1.4410 material chemical composition
With a balanced microstructure of approximately 50% austenite and 50% ferrite, 2507 plate achieves unparalleled mechanical properties, including a minimum yield strength of 550 MPa and superior toughness over conventional stainless steels like 316L or 2205. Its high chromium (24-26%), molybdenum (3-5%), and nitrogen (0.24-0.32%) content endow it with extraordinary resistance to aggressive media, including chlorides, acids, and high-temperature fluids.

Processing Guidelines for 2507 Plate
2507 Plate Hot Forming
Super duplex 2507 plate should be hot worked within the temperature range of 1875°F to 2250°F. After hot forming, a solution anneal at a minimum of 1925°F is required, followed by a rapid air or water quench to ensure optimal material properties.
sS 2507 Plate Cold Forming
S32750 sheet can be cold formed using conventional stainless steel forming methods. However, due to its higher yield strength and lower ductility compared to austenitic stainless steels, forming may require greater force, increased bend radii, and additional allowance for springback. Operations such as deep drawing and stretch forming are more challenging with 2507 than with austenitic grades. For cold deformations exceeding 10%, a solution anneal followed by quenching is recommended to restore corrosion resistance and mechanical properties.
S32750 Plate Heat Treatment
After hot or cold forming, 2507 sheet should undergo solution annealing at a minimum of 1925°F, followed immediately by a rapid air or water quench. For maximum corrosion resistance, pickling and thorough rinsing of the heat-treated surface are recommended.
