316H Stainless Steel Plate  is a high carbon modification of Alloy 316 developed for high temperature service and can be used in structural and pressure vessel applications above 932°F (500°C). UNS S31609 has corrosion resistance comparable to Alloy 316/316L and can resist corrosion in polluted marine conditions. 316H SS is non-magnetic in the annealed condition and cannot be hardened by heat treatment. Recommended service temperature is 1700 – 2200°F (927 – 1204°C). For maximum corrosion resistance, the alloy should be annealed at a minimum of 1900°F (1038°C) and then water quenched.
