Duplex 2205 Plate is an alloy of 22% Chromium, 3% Molybdenum, and 5-6% Nickel. It has good fatigue strength and excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking, crevice, pitting, erosion, and general corrosion. Similar to other duplex stainless steels, Duplex 2205 has good oxidation resistance at elevated temperatures. However, it can become brittle when exposed to temperatures above 572°F (300°C).
