Hastelloy B2 pipe is a solution strengthened nickel-molybdenum alloy that is typically used in extremely reducing conditions. Compared to its predecessor Alloy B, B2 Tube has significantly lower carbon, silicon and iron content, making the alloy weld zone in the welded condition more corrosion resistant. Corrosion Resistance of Hastelloy Alloy B2 Pipe
Alloy B2 Tube is characterized by its excellent corrosion resistance in acidic media, especially its excellent stability to strong acids such as sulfuric, phosphoric and hydrochloric acids. UNS N10665 Tube also has better corrosion resistance in chloride-containing media than other nickel-based alloys. ASTM B622 UNS N10665 also has excellent oxidation resistance.
