Hastelloy B2 tube is a nickel-molybdenum alloy that has excellent corrosion resistance in reducing (such as hydrogen chloride gas, sulfuric acid, acetic acid and phosphoric acid) as well as oxidizing environments. Hastelloy B2 is known for its resistance to pitting, stress corrosion cracking and other forms of chemical attack. B2 pipes are suitable for applications where other metals such as carbon steel and stainless steel may corrode or fail, such as in various industries such as chemical processing, petrochemical, power energy production and manufacturing, paper and pulp production, and pharmaceuticals.

One of the main advantages of Hastelloy B-2 pipes is the ability to withstand a wide range of temperatures. They can operate effectively at temperatures up to 450°C (840°F) without losing strength or integrity.

ASME SB622 N10665 Tube Forms

Hastelloy B2 pipes are available in a variety of forms, including Hastelloy B2 welded pipes and seamless pipes. Seamless pipes are made from a single piece of metal and do not contain any welded joints, while welded pipes are made by joining two pieces of metal together. Seamless pipes have strong pressure bearing capacity, welded pipes have low cost, and have advantages in making large diameter pipes. The choice of tube type depends on the specific application requirements and size.
