600 Inconel alloy Plate Chemical composition

The main components of Inconel 600 are nickel (≥72%), chromium (14%-17%) and iron (6%-10%), and contain a small amount of copper (≤0.5%), carbon (≤0.15%), manganese (≤1.0%) and other elements.

Inconel N06600 Plate Corrosion and oxidation resistance

Inconel 600 performs well in high-temperature oxidizing environments, with a maximum continuous use temperature of 1175℃. The dense Cr₂O₃ oxide film formed on its surface can effectively block oxygen diffusion. In chloride environments, high nickel content significantly reduces stress corrosion cracking sensitivity. The alloy has good tolerance to strong alkali (such as molten sodium hydroxide), weak acid (phosphoric acid, acetic acid) and organic acid environment, but has limited corrosion resistance to reducing strong acid (hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid).

Inconel Alloy 600 Plate cold processing

The cold processing of Inconel 600 plate needs to be carried out in stages. The deformation of each pass is recommended not to exceed 15%, and annealing treatment (870℃-980℃) should be carried out during the processing.

Inco 600 Plate hot working

The hot working temperature should be controlled at 870℃-1230℃, and avoid staying in the range of 650℃-870℃ to prevent σ phase precipitation.

Nickel Alloy 2.4816 Sheet welding

Tungsten inert gas welding (GTAW) or metal inert gas shielded welding (GMAW) is recommended for welding, and the matching welding materials are ERNiCr-3 or ENiCrFe-3. Annealing treatment at 1010℃-1120℃ is required after welding to eliminate residual stress.
