Applicability of Alloy B2 UNS N10665 in Chemical Industry

Corrosion Resistance

The presence of molybdenum (26%-30%) in Hastelloy Alloy B2  enhances corrosion resistance, especially for strong reducing acids such as hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid. 2.4617 Hastelloy  shows excellent stability when lining chemical reactors with hydrochloric acid concentrations up to 15% - 20%. Be careful to avoid oxidizing media.

High Temperature Stability

Nickel B2 maintains stable mechanical properties and corrosion resistance at medium and high temperatures (up to 315°C)
