advantages of hastelloy N06002 alloy plate
astm hastelloy x Oxidation resistance (below 1200°C)
In high-temperature cyclic oxidation environments, Hastelloy X can form a dense and self-healing chromium oxide (Cr₂O₃) protective film that effectively resists peeling. Experiments show that after long-term exposure to dry air at 1200°C, its weight change and corrosion penetration depth are significantly lower than those of ordinary stainless steel.
n06002 plate high-temperature strength and creep resistance
It still maintains medium endurance strength under long-term use at 900°C and short-term working conditions at 1080°C. Its high-temperature strength comes from the synergistic effect of solid solution strengthening of molybdenum (8–10%), tungsten (0.2–1.0%) and cobalt (0.5–2.5%), which significantly improves creep resistance.

hast. x Carburization and nitriding resistance
In the carburizing environment of petroleum coke, Hastelloy X shows complete resistance to penetration, while other alloys may be completely penetrated by carburization, in a nitrogen-containing atmosphere, the thickness of its nitride layer is only 1/4 of that of competing materials, avoiding early failure caused by intergranular corrosion.
hastelloy x steel plate Resistance to hot corrosion and stress corrosion cracking (SCC)
It has strong resistance to combustion gases containing impurities such as sulfur and vanadium (such as inferior fuels), avoiding pitting and intergranular corrosion caused by hot corrosion. In high temperature alkaline or chloride environment, the stress corrosion cracking resistance is better than austenitic stainless steel.
alloy x hot and cold processing formability
Wide hot processing temperature range (forging heating 1170°C±10°C, final forging ≥950°C), allowing 20–80% cold deformation, suitable for stamping and bending of complex structural parts.
Key Industry Applications
Due to its high thermal stability and resistance to stress-corrosion cracking, ASTM B435 Hastelloy X plate is widely utilized in:
Industrial Furnaces & Heating: Retorts, muffles, furnace baffles, and heat-treating equipment trays.
Petrochemical & Gas Processing: Reformer tubes, pyrolysis tubing, and high-temperature catalyst supports.
Gas Turbine Components: Transition ducts, combustion cans, flame holders, and afterburner parts.
Nuclear & Aerospace Infrastructure: Tailpipes, nuclear reactor cooling loops, and high-temperature ducting.
