Why Hastelloy C276 Pipe is your best choice?
astm hastelloy c276 Comprehensive Corrosion Resistance
Excels in both reducing and oxidizing environments, particularly adept at resisting Chloride Stress Corrosion Cracking (Cl-SCC) – the Achilles' heel of stainless steel.
alloy n10276 Pitting & Crevice Corrosion Nemesis
Exceptionally high molybdenum (~16%) and chromium (~16%) content grant it an extremely high Pitting Resistance Equivalent Number (PREN > 65), easily handling chloride-containing environments like seawater and brines.
hastelloy 276 Strong Acids
Exhibits formidable resistance to sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, phosphoric acid, organic acids (especially under conditions with impurities and oxidizers), with concentration and temperature applicability far exceeding most metals.
hast c276High-Temperature Stability
Maintains good mechanical properties and corrosion resistance at elevated temperatures, oxidation resistance up to 1200°C (2192°F).
n10276 nickel alloy Fabricability & Weldability
Easier to form and weld (requiring specific procedures) compared to many high-alloy materials.

inconel c276 Manufacturing Process
- Melting: Typically employs Vacuum Induction Melting (VIM) + Electroslag Remelting (ESR) or Vacuum Arc Remelting (VAR) processes, maximizing control of impurity levels (S, P, Si, O, N), ensuring purity and microstructural homogeneity.
- Hot Working: Ingots are forged or rolled into billets or slabs. Hot extrusion is the primary method for producing seamless pipe, forming the billet through a die under high temperature and pressure.
- Cold Working: Cold rolling or drawing precisely controls final pipe dimensions, wall thickness tolerances, surface finish, and increases strength. Intermediate solution annealing is required.
- Heat Treatment: The final Solution Annealing Treatment (~1120-1170°C / 2048-2138°F) + Rapid Cooling (water quench or spray) is critical. It ensures a completely homogeneous austenitic structure, dissolving all potentially precipitated carbides or intermetallic phases, maximizing corrosion resistance (especially post-weld) and toughness.
- Finishing: Includes straightening, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), pickling/passivation (removes scale and forms passive film), polishing (if required), marking, protective packaging.
