Monel 400 seamless pipe is a nickel-copper alloy consisting of 63% nickel, 34% copper, and small amounts of iron, manganese, and silicon. Nickel Alloy 400 is highly resistant to a variety of acids, including hydrofluoric, sulfuric, and hydrochloric acids. And can withstand temperatures up to 1000°F. Nickel Copper Alloy 400 has excellent ductility and low magnetic permeability, making it ideal for industries that avoid magnetic interference.

Monel 400 Seamless Pipe Manufacturing Process

Monel 400 pipe sizes range from 1/2 inch to 6 inches, with wall thicknesses between 0.049 inches and 0.145 inches. Monel 400 pipe meets ASTM B163/ASTM B165 standards. SB 163 UNS N04400 is manufactured seamlessly hot rolled or cold drawn. Seamless pipes have smooth inner and outer surfaces with no cracks or defects in the weld area, which helps improve the strength and corrosion resistance of the pipe compared to Monel 400 welded pipe.
