Chemical Composition of Nickel 201 Plate

Ni ≥99.2%, C ≤0.02%, Mn ≤0.35%, Fe ≤0.40%, Si ≤0.35%, Cu ≤0.25%, S ≤0.01%. High Ni ensures corrosion resistance, while ultra-low C guarantees high-temperature stability.

Physical Properties of alloy n02201 sheet

Density 8.89 g/cm³, melting point 1435-1446°C, room-temperature thermal conductivity 70 W/(m·K), electrical conductivity 22% IACS, thermal expansion coefficient 13.3 μm/m°C (20-100°C), ferromagnetic.

Mechanical Properties of alloy 201 plate

Annealed - tensile strength 210-320 MPa, yield strength 150-210 MPa, elongation ≥40%, cold-worked - tensile strength >700 MPa, yield strength ≥550 MPa, elongation 10-20%. Excellent low-temperature toughness.

Corrosion Resistance of Nickel 201 Plate

Excellent corrosion resistance in reducing media and alkaline environments (e.g., molten NaOH/KOH, ideal for chlor-alkali industry). Good performance in non-oxidizing acids and neutral salts, poor in strong oxidizing environments. Stable in dry halogen gases, seawater and brine, no intergranular corrosion above 315°C, poor in high-temperature sulfur-containing reducing atmospheres.

Processing Performance of uns n02201 sheet

Hot working (870-1230°C), cold working with intermediate annealing required. Forming characteristics similar to mild steel but needs more power due to higher elastic limit.

Welding Performance ni 201 sheet

weldability (argon arc welding, laser welding, etc.). Use low-hydrogen, low-stress processes and matching welding wires to avoid hydrogen-induced cracks and heat-affected zone embrittlement.
